KISS THE MIRROR was the outcome of my Master's project. In summer 2018, I travelled by motorcycle to various biker venues and events, and took hundreds of black and white portraits with a medium format film camera. Although I originally envisaged the project as an objective survey of a contemporary subcultural fashion, I came to realise that it was in fact a psychoanalytical road trip on which I was searching for my own identity as a biker, and indeed my identity as a photographer.
